(FAC) From 2004 to 2011, Dawn Angelique Richard, a member of Danity Kane and Diddy – Dirty Money, worked under Sean Combs and his entities in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and other locations. During this period, Combs subjected Richard to sexual assaults (groping her buttocks and breasts without consent during 2009–2011 tour preparations), physical assaults (attempting to strike her face in 2010), false imprisonment (locking her in a vehicle and studio in 2010), and labor trafficking (forcing 36–48 hour work periods without food or rest). Combs used derogatory slurs ('bitches,' 'hoes'), made death threats ('you want to die today,' 'I make n****s go missing'), and withheld wages and royalties (estimated at $2.8M for Danity Kane, $1.55M for Diddy – Dirty Money). He coerced Richard with promises of career advancement while denying her basic needs, leading to severe health issues (anemia, arthralgia, weight loss to 100 pounds). Richard witnessed Combs’ violent assaults on Casandra Ventura (choking, punching, throwing a hot pan) and observed drug-fueled parties with underage girls being sexually exploited. Harve Pierre assaulted Richard (attempting to strike her in 2010) and falsely imprisoned her. UMG Recordings enabled Combs’ actions through a $50M deal with Bad Boy, despite knowledge of his violence. In 2023, Combs, Love Records, and Tri Star infringed Richard’s copyrights in 'Deliver Me' by releasing it without her consent, failing to credit her 21% composition share. Combs engaged in witness tampering in September 2024, contacting Witness 1 128 times after Richard’s complaint was filed. Richard suffered severe trauma, only realizing the extent of her injuries in November 2023 after reading Ventura’s complaint, prompting her to file this action.
