Factual Allegations

In or around June 1995, Plaintiff Jane Doe attended a promotional party at Elks Plaza in New York City for the music video 'One More Chance' by Biggie Smalls. The event was crowded with high-profile guests. While dancing with friends, Sean Combs approached her and asked to speak privately. She agreed, expecting an innocent conversation, and followed him to a bathroom. Once alone, Combs began kissing her unexpectedly. When she asked him to slow down, he became aggressive, struck her violently, slammed her head against the wall, and caused her to fall. Disoriented, she tried to escape, but he hit her again, then lifted her dress and raped her vaginally while she was helpless on the floor. Despite her resistance, her injuries and shock rendered her powerless. Afterward, Combs nonchalantly adjusted his clothing and threatened her, saying, 'You better not tell anyone about this, or you will disappear,' leaving her terrified. He then left the bathroom, abandoning her in a state of shock, fear, and shame. She remained on the floor for a while, in pain from the blows and emotionally shattered, before managing to leave the bathroom and the party. Since the assault, she has avoided news triggers and kept the incident secret for years, fearing retaliation from Combs and his business entities.
Prayer for Relief
Plaintiff seeks: (a) compensatory damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, pain and suffering, and other harms, in an amount to be determined at trial; (b) punitive damages in an amount to be determined at trial; (c) attorneys' fees and costs under applicable statutes; (d) pre- and post-judgment interest on damages, fees, and costs; (e) attachment of Defendants' real property and assets in New York per Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 64; and (f) any other relief the Court deems just and proper.
