Barzi v. Combs et al

In or around 2022, Eman Barzi, a Los Angeles businessman who owned a luxury car and jewelry rental company, was sexually assaulted by Sean Combs at a Ciroc Vodka promotional party in Los Angeles, hosted by Combs, who claimed ownership in the brand. Doe had a prior business relationship with Combs, a frequent customer, and was personally invited to the event, expecting to network with high-profile guests. At the party, Combs lured Doe into his private office under the pretense of a business discussion. Once alone, an intoxicated Combs exposed his genitals, moved closer, and grabbed and squeezed Doe’s genitals through his pants in a rough, sexual manner. Shocked and disoriented, Doe froze until Professional Athlete A intervened, halting the assault. Doe then fled the office and the party, later documenting the incident with a photo of the Ciroc vodka given to him by Combs. The assault caused significant emotional distress and ongoing psychological trauma.

Plaintiff seeks: (a) compensatory damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, pain and suffering, family and social disruption, and other harms, in an amount to be determined at trial; (b) punitive damages in an amount to be determined at trial; (c) attorneys’ fees and costs under applicable statutes; (d) pre- and post-judgment interest on damages, fees, and costs; (e) attachment of Defendants’ real property and assets in New York per Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 64; and (f) any other relief the Court deems just and proper.
