In December 1991, Jane Doe, from Louisiana, visited New York City and attended a charity basketball game at City College on December 28, invited by a prominent rapper. Unable to find him, she was directed to Sean Combs ('Puffy'), the event co-sponsor, in a makeshift dressing room. After her friend left with Combs to meet another celebrity, Combs returned alone with a Coca-Cola that tasted off, causing Plaintiff to feel woozy. He blocked her exit, fondled her, removed her underwear, molested her, and penetrated her. Combs threatened her against reporting it, citing potential disappearance; she escaped amid chaos, found her friend, and left.
Prayer for Relief
Plaintiff seeks: (a) compensatory damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, pain and suffering, family and social disruption, and other harms, in an amount to be determined at trial; (b) punitive damages in an amount to be determined at trial; (c) attorneys’ fees and costs under applicable statutes; (d) pre- and post-judgment interest on damages, fees, and costs; (e) attachment of Defendants’ real property and assets in New York per Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 64; and (f) any other relief the Court deems just and proper.
