John Doe v. Sean Combs et al

On August 25, 2005, John Doe, a 21-year-old New York resident running a security service, attended an industry party at a music studio in Harlem near 142nd Street with his wife, aiming to network and secure business, including from Sean Combs. Combs, aware of Doe’s security operation, approached him to discuss business in a private room, pressuring Doe to drink despite his refusal, saying, 'When do you get to drink with a millionaire?' Doe relented, accepting a drink later suspected to be laced with GHB, causing dizziness and confusion. Alone after his wife and others left the room, Combs assaulted Doe by reaching into his pants, grabbing and manipulating his genitals, urging him to relax as the drug took effect. The assault stopped when Doe’s wife returned, intervening, after which Combs feigned assistance. Shocked, Doe and his wife fled by train, and the trauma led Doe to abandon his security career, leaving lasting emotional scars.

Compensatory damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, pain and suffering, and other harms; punitive damages; attorneys’ fees and costs; pre- and post-judgment interest; attachment of Defendants’ New York assets; and other just relief as deemed proper.
