Duane Keith Davis

Former South Side Compton Crips leader and the sole named individual defendant in Shakur v. Davis. Indicted for Tupac Shakur's murder by a Clark County grand jury on September 29, 2023 — the first arrest in the case in 27 years — and convicted on August 31, 2026 of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon. Immediately after the jury was dismissed, the State moved to dismiss the criminal gang enhancement. On October 13, 2026, Judge Carli Kierny sentenced him to 40 years to life; he said in court that he will appeal. Court filings caption him "Keefe D"; most news coverage spells it "Keffe D".
